Liability Waiver and Release

In submitting this registration, I acknowledge and agree that I am undertaking to participate in the conference activities as my own voluntary and intentional act. I agree that I alone am responsible for determining whether I am physically capable of participating in any conference activity, and I understand that there is risk associated with my participation, which may include without limitation, injury or loss caused by my negligence or the negligence of others. With knowledge and acceptance of the risks involved, I accept full responsibility for my safety and well-being. Meal Functions

We cannot guarantee food will be available thirty minutes after an event has begun. For all meal functions please arrive on time. If it's a ticketed event please make sure to have the correct ticket ready to hand to G-I staff.

Medical Emergencies

We hope that your visit to Geo-Congress will be free from illness or injury but in case you or a family member needs medical attention during your time at the event please contact the hotel's front desk. For life-threatening emergencies call 911.

Meeting Room Overcrowding

ASCE/G-I will make every effort to schedule popular events in rooms large enough to accommodate anticipated attendance. Because many events are extremely popular, it is wise to select alternative events as you plan your Conference schedule. ASCE/G-I and the host facilities are REQUIRED to follow local fire regulations and may ask participants in rooms at capacity to choose another event.

No Smoking

ASCE/G-I supports a “No Smoking” policy. Smoking is prohibited in the all venues hosting ASCE events.

Professional Development Hours (PDHs)

You may earn PDHs, which are nationally recognized units of record, by attending pre-conference workshops and conference concurrent sessions. Please note there are differences from state to state in continuing education requirements for professional engineering licensure. Each state licensing board has the final authority to approve course, credits, PDHs, and other methods of earning credits in that state. ASCE strongly recommends that individuals regularly check with their state licensing boards for specific continuing education requirements in their jurisdictions that affect professional engineering licensure and the ability to renew licensure.

When you arrive at the registration desk to pick up your badge and tickets, you will receive a badge with your name and a bar code specific to your registration. Before you enter the room for a pre-conference short course, technical session, panel session, plenary session, etc., you must scan your bar code in order to receive credit.

Thirty (30) days after the Conference is over, automated session attendance information will be uploaded into the MyLearning system. You will receive an email from the Conferences registration system with a link and detailed instructions on how to access MyLearning, to update your session attendance information and to generate certificate of attendance / PDH.

Program and Session Cancellation

ASCE/G-I reserves the right to cancel programs and/or sessions. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, all registrants will be notified. Programs and sessions are subject to change, and ASCE/G-I reserves the right to substitute a program, session and/or speaker of equal caliber to fulfill the educational requirements

Photo and Video Recording of Sessions

Photos, Video or audio recording(s) of any educational session is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from both ASCE/G-I and the session presenter(s).
